ETERNITY

Gary Shepard

ETERNITY will reveal the great blessing it was for God to send the gospel of His grace to any community or city. God sent messengers with the good news of what He has done in Christ. He does not do so in every place, but where He sovereignly chooses. ETERNITY will also reveal the great responsibility of having heard this great gospel of God. To whom much is intrusted, much shall be required. Men will realize as they face an endless eternity what Jacob said at Bethel. "The Lord is in this place and I knew it not." It will not altar God's purpose if you do not seek to know and believe the gospel. Your failure to see its worth does not make it of a lesser value. BUT to see its worth in eternity and realize what great blessings God spread in your midst, in which you were not interested and did not partake, is to make hell a hell for you.

Mr. C. H. Spurgeon once said, "To disobey the gospel is far worse than to break the law. For disobedience to the law there is a remedy in the gospel, but for disobedience to the gospel no remedy can be found. "There remaineth no more sacrifice for sins."
