Many people are willing to say that Christ (His Gospel, His Church) is an important part of their lives. But the Scriptures say that Christ IS our life! It is no wonder that there is so little real commitment to Christ if He is only regarded as a part of one's life. Real commitment arises out of believing that He is your life. He is the source of it, the sum of it, and the satisfaction of it. All is death apart from Him.

He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE. If Christ is only a part (even an important part) of our lives, then we have missed life! Nothing is so vital as life (spiritual life, eternal life, and the life of God). Nothing is so important in our lives, no matter who or what it is, than LIFE itself, or should I say HIMSELF. Our commitment is to be to that One who is our life- Jesus Christ the Lord.
