Trust in God's compassion and concern for His afflicted people. Don't trust the faithfulness of your zeal, but cast everything upon God's faithfulness to His own elect. God's saints desire to glorify Him by ministering unto lost sinners. Let this desire increase and feed it with private commitment. Yet, know that salvation is entirely of the Lord, and we only glorify Him by trusting Him to do everything. He is concerned for His lost people, and He sees the deception and bondage that they're in. He says, "Now therefore, what have I here, saith the Lord, that my people is taken away for naught? They that rule over them make them to howl, saith the Lord; and my name continually every day is blasphemed (Is. 52:5)." Therefore, the people that Christ has purchased in blood redemption shall come to know their Savior. None of His blood was shed in vain, and no devil will ultimately control one of His elect. God has staked His everlasting glory upon the salvation of every one of us. He says, (Is. 52:6) "Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I."
The singular message of the church unto this needy world is very plain: "… Thy God reigneth (Is. 52:7)." This message proclaims both the Lordship and Salvation of the Risen Christ. Salvation is found in willful submission to the Lord of the Cross. Salvation is not a cheap thing that can be bargained down if the initial price and commitment is too low. No, we don't offer the Lord Jesus to sinners at 99cents on the dollar. He only saves those who bow to Him. The good news of His exaltation is that the Lord Jesus is risen from the dead having made sinners acceptable to God. If you ever spiritually hear that acceptance is only in Him, and He's made you acceptable to God by His blood, then you'll receive Him on His terms unto the enjoyment of your eternal salvation. We could not be His people, and He could not be our God unless He fulfilled every stipulation of the new covenant by the shedding of His blood. "For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified (Heb. 10:14)." This knowledge of justice satisfied by blood shedding for the remission of our sins is always coupled with His declaration that perfect obedience has been rendered to the Laws every demand on our behalf. "Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus… let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience
"The Lord hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations… (Is. 52:10)." God has no reason to hide the Lord Jesus Christ His Holy Arm. He is the very glory of God. The message of His resurrection declares the finished work of His cross, and it is God's strength for irresistibly drawing sinners unto Himself. Therefore, my brethren, stick to the Cross. Yes, it is the greatest offence known to ruined sinners, but only the cross unveils the Person our God and thereby saves them. Encourage yourself that you're bringing good news that God's elect will hear. Our message ought to bring us joy; we're proclaiming peace purchased, reconciliation accomplished, and full-atonement already made. The more we're convinced that we bring glad tidings of good, the more we'll speak the truth in love.
