How can a sinner ever have peace in his heart that everything is alright between a holy God and himself, if some part of his salvation is dependent upon his works, his faithfulness, his perseverance, or his anything? Peace will ever be just an illusive dream! But if our salvation is totally dependent upon another, namely, the Lord Jesus Christ; and if He completely accomplished it to such a degree that God in righteousness accepts us, then we can have peace and assurance in our hearts that all is well. I rest my case with Christ the Lord.
