"Out of the abundance of a man's heart, his mouth speaks." Listen to what a man speaks of most and his heart is revealed. John bore record of Christ, and his record was what God the Spirit had taught him. Great swelling words of religion easily fill the mouth of the unregenerate heart, but that which finds its source and focus in Christ only, bears record of a new creation.
