Christ's love for us compelled Him to give Himself for us. He gave Himself for our ransom, for our salvation, for our everlasting, spiritual good. He gave Himself for us particularly. He gave His time, His strength, his service, His name, His honor, the comforts of life, and life itself. He gave His body and His soul. He gave Himself to die for us, in our room and place, as our Substitute. He did not love us because we were good. Christ loved us to make us good, knowing full-well that His love for us would cost Him everything! God help us to so love one another!
