SUMMARY NOTES ON JEREMIAH 33:15-26
Jeremiah 33:15-26

Jim Byrd

1. The Branch of David, verses 15-18. This is a promise concerning the Incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ. By His exact obedience and sacrificial death, His chosen people are made the righteousness of God in Him.

2. The Covenant of Grace, verses 19-26. The Jewish nation had broken the covenant God made with them. However, the everlasting covenant of grace, made between the Father and the Son, shall never be broken. God will be merciful to His chosen people. As the stars of the sky and sands of the sea cannot be counted, neither can man number those whom the Lord has purposed to save. "I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands" (Revelation 7:9).
