The gospel of the blood of Jesus Christ is not fashionable to the tastes of modern man. Blind sinners think themselves too sophisticated to think upon such things. But we find this salvation by blood as pictured in the skins that covered Adam and Eve, in Abel's sacrificial lamb, in the passover lamb, in the deliverance through the Red Sea, and in every sacrifice offered in the camp of Israel and the temple. Why? Because "without shedding of blood there is no remission." Sin is only put away and redemption accomplished by the "precious blood of Christ as of a Lamb without blemish or spot."
