Just as the children of Israel forsook the Lord and served the gods of the people round about them; the people of our generation serve many different gods of their own choosing. The gods of the Russelites, Campbellites, Smithites and Arminians are no different than the gods of Zidonians, Moabites, Ammonites, and Philistines. They are all gods of men's imaginations (idols), which cannot save anyone or do anything. The Word of God is still relevant today - "Ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: Wherefore I will deliver you no more. Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation" (Judges 10:14).
