John 6:37 "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."
Both of these statements were recorded by John, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of the Almighty Eternal God in Heaven, and spoken to us by the Lord Jesus Christ who is the "Same, yesterday, today, and for ever." These words have never changed.
By "All" is meant the elect of God. All who were chosen by God from all eternity. These All were put into Christ's hands, as His seed, His sheep, His spouse, His portion, His inheritance, to be saved by Him with an everlasting Salvation.
By "Giveth" is meant that it is eternal. The verb is the present perfect tense. It is a continual giving. It is unchangeable. Though this was something that took place before the foundation of the world, it is still being done today. Our coming to Christ and believing on Him is the effect of the electing love of God for us from all eternity.
By "Shall come to me" is meant that those who were given to Christ in eternal election, and in the everlasting covenant of Grace, in time do come to Christ, and believe in Him, to the saving of their souls. This is not the result of any power or will in them, but the result of the power and Grace of God. It does not say that these have a power to come, or might come if they will it, but they "Shall come" Effectual Grace will bring them to Christ as poor, perishing sinners, to cast themselves on Him for life and Salvation.
By "Him that cometh" is meant that those who come to Christ in a Spiritual way, and are brought to believe in Him, are not only received by Him, but He keeps them and preserves them by His power, and will never cast them out from Him into perdition. These words are very emphatic in the original: "I will not, not," or as we would say, "I will never, never, cast them out." Christ will never cast them out of His arms, His affections, His family, His church, His Salvation, and that is why they will never perish, but have everlasting life.
