"WAIT,"
OR WORRY AND WOE!

Micah 7:7

"I will wait for the God of my salvation"

One of the most difficult things human nature does is wait. Patience has been replaced with NOW. This causes much distrubance of mind, and we tend to "lose our cool." Here is a simple admonition from the Lord: "In patience posses ye your soul" (Luke 21:19). Oh, to possess my soul!

Yes, someone has done you a wrong. WAIT! It is true "they all lie in wait for blood" (Vs. 2). While you are waiting, remember that you have the same nature. Even your brother in the Lord will sometimes vilify your character. "They hunt every man his brother with a net" (Vs. 2). WAIT! If people knew the WHOLE truth about you and me, we would want to hide and never be seen again. Wait and keep your mouth shut. Don't pop off, even to your bosom companion. "Keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom" (Vs. 5).

Be quiet now! Possess your soul! Oh, the many times I have lost possession! What a grief and strife has it caused! I know the way. "I will WAIT for the God of my salvation." He is our Lord Jesus Christ whose precious blood will once and for all put this blackness away. "He will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold His righteousness" (Vs. 9). When we behold Him, every thought will be RIGHT. Not until then! In the meantime, Lord, teach me to WAIT. "O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Rom. 7:24-25).
