CERTAIN
Acts 3:2

"AND A CERTAIN MAN..."

Definition: "Particular or destined"–Webster.

If there is nothing else CERTAIN, I am CERTAIN of one thing–we serve a CERTAIN God, and there are CERTAIN sinners in the world that are particular or destined to hear of and receive the blessed Savior.

Here is a man who has never walked. He must be carried, and he is laid in a CERTAIN place at a CERTAIN time. Here come two CERTAIN men, Peter and John, who just happened to be preachers of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The eyes of this CERTAIN begger were fixed on these CERTAIN men, and they told him of the CERTAIN SAVIOR.

Every CERTAIN event in the Bible that had to do with the physical illustrated the eternal spiritual realities of God's grace to CERTAIN of mankind. They were never an end in themselves, as blind religionists teach today.

If you want a "maybe" God, you are welcome to him. Give me this CERTAIN Lord who looks on such as "a CERTAIN woman named Lydia" and opens her heart to attend unto the things which a CERTAIN apostle spoke to her (Acts 16:14). Yes, I love this truth. Of that, I am CERTAIN.
