Some people think predestination is like a frightening monster which stands at the gate of heaven with a flaming sword and prevents people from entering who would like to come in. They personify this glorious truth and make her to say to a needy sinner, "No, you cannot come in, you cannot be saved no matter how much you want to be because you were not chosen and ordained unto salvauon." Such a view of predestination is merely a concoction of the enemies of this glorious doctine. Here is the truth of the matter: if God had left salvation to be decided by the sinners will, heaven would never have any occupants from earth! And why is that?
