What does "lay it to heart" mean? It's serious, something you desire to do and will do no other. This thing of God's glory must be adhered to. No more of the worm man and his vain imaginations. "Behold your God." (Isa. 40:9). Look past profane religion and get a glimpse of the Shekinah, the Divine presence of the Almighty Lord.
Men say, "We are seeing the blessings of the Lord." Good, I am glad. But be careful lest what He said in our verse comes to pass, "I will curse your blessings, because you do not lay it to heart."
Even a hint that God cannot accomplish all His purpose is taking away God's glory. It totally destroys the God of the Bible, and what you have left is the sissiefied, want-to God of modern religion. Take him away! I'll have nothing to do with a God who ask for help. Give me the GOD who says, "My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure." (Isa. 46:10).
Hey, you "little god" preachers, you must step up and "lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name." How about it? Will you vow in your heart never to cast any doubt upon the sovereign mercy of the Lord, and in every thought and deed see Him as all in all? Now if you will not, you have not laid it to heart to give glory to His Name.
