I have met some who, it seems, consider it a sign of great grace to name some preacher and declare that they do not consider him a gospel preacher: and the more well-known the preacher, the greater their delight in rejecting him! Friends, we are all liars according to the Scriptures; so, if any man speaks the truth, he does so contrary to his nature and only at the prompting of God's grace. Every man is a liar, so we must not believe any man.: We must believe God. I am not so concerned with who is telling a lie, but with who is telling the truth. When I find a man telling the truth, I may be certain God is with Him, otherwise, he would be telling a lie like everyone else. Let me not waste my time in searching for and identifying liars. That is no more difficult than finding sand on the seashore. Let me seek Him who is the truth! Let me not attempt to exalt myself in the eyes of others by rejecting this or that preacher who is in error. Rather, let me humbly hear the Word from a man sent by God and given grace to tell the truth!
