His sin was imputed to all of his sons. His sin is imparted to everyone. We all were born sinners and going astray, Our hearts and wills darkened, each choosing his way. But our way is ever astray from our God. We would not seek Jesus, nor His cleansing blood. God made His Son Jesus to be sin for us. And by His obedience He made us righteous. Oh, infinite mercy! God found out a way To justify sinners, and did it that day. By Adam's transgression we all died in sin. By Jesus' obedience we now live again. His work is imputed to all who believe. His nature imparted, in Jesus we live!

Jesus' blood declares us clean! All our sins on Christ were laid. He for sinners sin was made! When for us the Surety died, Justice there was satisfied. Though the law could never bow, It cannot condemn us now. Jesus' blood makes us complete, Speaking from the mercy-seat. For His ransomed ones He claims, (See, upon His heart their names!) Pardon and eternal life, Pleading His great sacrifice. God in judgment still will hear Jesus' blood our souls to clear: "All their debts you cast on Me, All is paid, they must go free!" Then His courts we'll enter in, Freed from guilt and blame and sin! Sinners reconciled by blood, Evermore we'll praise our God!

And He did it, yes, He did it, Christ performed the Father's will! By the which will we're forgiven And forever justified! Perfect and complete in Jesus, We're forever sanctified!

By His grace alone I live. I must have Him, I must have Him; Or I must forever die! None but Jesus, none but Jesus, Can this sinner justify. Jesus was the One Thing Needful In the covenant of grace. God, our Father, looked on Jesus As the Surety in our place. On the promise of obedience, God gave His elect to Christ. Help was laid on One that's mighty. And that mighty One is Christ. Jesus is the One Thing Needful While we walk the pilgrim way. Like the fiery, cloudy pillar, He will guide us in His way. He's the Rock of our salvation. Grace and mercy He'll supply. He's our Strength and Consolation, Prophet, Priest and King, and Guide! Jesus is the One Thing Needful For eternal joy and bliss. Christ will be our Crown of Glory, Crown of Life and Righteousness! Heaven is to be with Jesus And to see Him as He is! Jesus is the Sum and Substance Of eternal joy and bliss!

(193) CHRIST IS MADE ALL THINGS TO ME Don Fortner (Tune: Hail, Thou Once Despised Jesus #145 87.87.D) By God's grace I am in Jesus, Who is made all things to me. All I need, or want, is Jesus. Christ is made all things to me. Christ alone is all my Wisdom. He will guide me day by day. By His Word and by His Spirit, Christ will guide me in His way. Righteousness I have in Jesus, Who obeyed God's law for me. His obedience is imputed Freely, without works, to me. Christ is my Sanctification. (Christ is all my Holiness!) He has saved me by imparting Unto me His holiness. Christ alone is my Redemption. His blood hides my sins from view. And my great Redeemer's coming To redeem my body too. I will glory in my Savior, Who is made all things to me. All I need, or want, is Jesus. Christ is made all things to me!

(194) I HAVE SEEN THE BLESSED SAVIOR Don Fortner (Tune: Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus #84 87.87.D) I have seen the blessed Savior, And I've heard His gracious voice Look, my heart, upon no other. By God's grace Christ is my choice. Through His blood I am forgiven. Christ is all my righteousness. One with Him, an heir of heaven, I look nowhere else for grace. In myself I have no merit. Sin mars all I think and do. Jesus Christ alone can save me. All my hope, my Lord, is You! I confess my sin and renounce All my best performance too. Christ, my all-sufficient Savior, All I need I find in You. In the person of my Savior I have found the way to God. By His merits I have favor And acceptance with my God. For this matchless Pearl and Treasure I now give my life away. Take me, Master, do Your pleasure, I bow to Your sov'reignty.

We'll sing of Your amazing grace And hear Your Word with cheer. But without You, what can we do? We're weak and full of sin! The man who now would speak for You, Like us, is but a man. What Adam lost, Christ has restored For all the chosen seed. When He redeemed us by His blood, Christ crushed the serpent's head. The great deceiver now is bound. God's elect everywhere Shall hear and know the truth of God, Freed from the devil's snare. And when the gospel comes with power, By God's almighty call, Christ binds the strong man in their hearts And takes them for His spoil. The lion roars against our souls. The dragon breathes his fire. But he can never harm us now. He's bound by Jesus' power! Our Savior's kingdom must expand, His Church must conquer yet. When God's elect are gathered in, We'll bruise the serpent's head!

"The Everlasting Father" is Our great Redeemer's name, Head of the chosen family Which gladly bears His name. We look to You, Lord Jesus Christ, For life and righteousness; Our Everlasting Father, we Trust Your wise providence.
