Our Father, we praise You for Your wise decrees
By which You have purposed all things that must be,
All things that are needful to save Your elect!
We praise You that nothing to chance has been left.
Our Savior, we praise You for Your precious blood,
Almighty, redeeming, sin-atoning blood!
You bore for Your people God's infinite wrath;
And those You have ransomed can never taste death!
O Spirit of God, for Your almighty grace,
We praise You and thank You, great Giver of peace!
Though once we were dead in trespasses and sins,
You showed us our Savior and gave faith in Him!
