Amazing mystery!
Great God, whom heav'n cannot contain,
How can this wonder be?
Behold, the Word, the Son of God,
A Man of flesh was made;
And in His holy body dwells
The fulness of Godhead!
Incarnate God, mighty to save,
For sinners lived and died!
By His obedience for us
We have been sanctified!
Yet, Jesus still abides with us.
His temple is His church.
He is the Head, and King, and Life,
And Glory of his church!
Christ even dwells within the hearts
Of sinners saved by grace!
His Spirit is our Comforter;
Our Savior is our Peace!
