Praise to Christ for He hath done it,
Saved us by His precious blood;
Paid the price we don't deserve it,
Reconciled us unto God.
He from sin has bought deliv'rance
Paid the debt for our forgiveness;
Freedom from the law He bought,
Satisfied the debt we owed.
Righteousness need not be sought,
Christ is all we need for God.
Bless Him, praise Him for assurance,
Based on Christ and not our works;
Bless Him, praise Him for repentance,
Freedom from self-righteous works.
We nothing can add to Jesus,
God won't hear unless He sees us,
Trusting in the Son of God;
Faith looks up to Christ enthroned,
Sees Him satisfying God,
Giving grace that He has bought.
