The gospel is not 'bout myself but the Lord,
And though I am sin He fulfills all His Word;
The Salvation of God's elect is all Christ,
Who finished the work, purged our sin out of sight.
God calls doubting saints like He called Gideon,
And says to the weak that your Strength is the Lord;
Don't ever think freedom will lead to disgrace,
Be strong in the Lord, in the Word of His grace.
Stand fast in your Savior, be free 'cause He died,
Salvation is Jesus, you're holy in Christ;
Assurance is purchased and promised to you,
In fact God's command is be bold in His Truth.
Through preaching, through preaching, He speaks from the Throne
And strengthens His children to serve Him in love
Oh precious is Jesus to you that believe
