REPENT AND TURN

(Acts 3:19) “Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”
It matters not what you turn from,
You must turn to the Lord.
Repentance is confessing sin,
And coming to the Lord.
From Him the strength to follow Christ,
Is given free of charge.
From Him repentance is a gift,
That lasts the whole life long.
That God would take the worst of men,
Who crucified the Son.
And give them life and many gifts,
Is glor’ious to the Lord.
That Christ would die to save the ones,
Who nailed Him to the tree,
And by the life that He laid down,
Preach grace to you and me.
These are the proofs the Sov’reign Lord
Is worthy of our trust,
Yet unbelief is no light thing,
It crucified the Lord.
Repent my friend and turn to Him,
There’s life if you believe.
The blessings of a holy God,
Are yours if you believe.
